Recently I’ve been going through my internet favourites folder and came across a link to Hooked street art & graffiti blog which I think I came across back in 2006 and used to follow it closely. For some reason I stopped checking it, whether they went quiet for a while or I didn’t have the time, I’m not sure. But after spending a good couple of hours on there again recently it is firmly back in my recent favourites.
Hooked blog have been running since 2005 and cover a massive range of topics like UK street art events, graffiti, art exhibitions, zines, illustration, screen printing and all kinds of related things. They’ve won a number of awards, like being highly commended in the UK blog awards 2015 and being in Cision’s list of the top 10 art blogs.
Being currently Bristol-based, I was interested to see their article on Stinkfish painting in the St Werburghs area of Bristol, and also the coverage they had of Lee Ellis a Bristol based portrait painter I’ve been following on Instagram for a while.
