Bristol and London have their fair share of good quality action sports and adventure film festivals. The Banff Film Festival 2016 is one that has grown in popularity over the last few years and returns this year, to Bath in February, and moves on to Bristol in April. We’ve been to a few different film festivals so if you’re into them also check out our posts on the European Outdoor Film Tour, Reel Rock and The Ocean Film Festival.
The Banff Film Festival 2016 has two programmes of films available on different nights, the red programme and the blue programme. The films cover a wide range of trips to do action sports, such as mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, skiing and running as well as stories about the photographers and filmmakers who have gone to capture these adventures. For more info on which films are in which line-up, have a gander here.
The tour is worldwide and the full set of dates are available on the website, but the Bristol and Bath dates are as follows:
Bath – Red Programme – Feb 24th
Bath – Blue Programme – Feb 25th
Bristol – Red Programme – April 6th
Bristol – Blue Programme – April 7th
Bristol – Red Programme – April 8th
Here’s the trailer to a film which is in the Banff Film Festival 2016 Blue film programme called ’55 Hours in Mexico’:
